Mosquito Bunny
I finished this bunny and went out to get some good pictures of her and to my surprise there must have been a big hatching of mosquitoes. They were crazy insane and I couldn’t stand still enough to take a good picture for all the mosquitoes trying to bite me. They were all over my bunny as well, I had to slap them off of her too.
The pictures turned out ok, except for the mosquito that wouldn’t leave her ear.
She is available to purchase in my Etsy shop.

Baby Lambs, 2011
Lambs arrive at the Bear Creek Ranch
Baby’s have been arriving at the Bear Creek Ranch and keeping me busy night and day. We have 6 little lambs so far this spring. If you can call it spring that is! We still have several feet of snow on the ground and it has been cold. It is snowing again right now in fact. I have kept the lambs in the barn so far, since their entire pen behind the barn has several feet of snow in it. The ewe’s have a little path through the snow going out to their bale feeder. We had the sheep sheered last week and they have been shivery cold ever since. I feel so sorry for them. I expected to warm up a little faster than this! We like to have them sheared before lambing as it makes it easier for the lambs to find milk right away when they are born. Plus I was in need of some wool. Some colors are in short supply.
Marley was my first ewe lamb born on this farm. All they had were ram lambs up to that point which was depressing since I was trying to build the sheep flock. Needless to say she is pretty special. (she is the lamb I am holding on the front page of the website.) She was the first to lamb this year with her very first lamb. She is an excellent mother and “Twizzler” is extra cute!
More pictures coming soon!
4-H calves

It’s time to get ready for the County Fair. The kids are busy getting their beef projects trained to lead. It was a hot day, so they got a nice cool bath with the hose.
Fencing in the Romney’s
The sheep are getting more new fence. We built them a new
Pen earlier this spring, and now we are at it again. It will be nice to get them out into their new pasture once it is complete!
2010 lambs
Our little Romney lambs are 2 1/2 months old. They are enjoying their new green pasture and their last month with with their mom’s. It will soon be weaning time.
