I finished a zebra today. This is my second needle felted zebra and at the moment I am thinking my last. I spent several days working on him and in the end the stripes about drove me crazy. I am very happy with the end results though. Now I will enjoy him on the shelf of honor until someone decides they love him as much as I do. You can see my last zebra here.

Shepherding through a Spring Blizzard

Yesterday we experienced a spring blizzard here in North Dakota. We had about 8 inches of new snow. We were lucky as some just West of received up to 23 inches. It is melting today, but I am told we are to expect more snow on Wednesday. We had one new baby during the blizzard, she has a great mommy and was well cared for. The rest of the sheep have been hanging out in the barn with occasional trips out to the bale to eat.

A Boy Bear Creek Bunny

The Bear Creek Bunnies have always been girls. I started making the girl Bear Creek Bunnies after a particularly long winter. I was looking for a way to be able to felt with some fun spring colors and that is how I came up with bunnies wearing dresses. I have been asked over the years to make boy bunnies but I just never felt quite inspired to do so. A couple weeks ago I had someone describe in detail the boy bunny she was wishing for. She described it so well that I totally pictured his cuteness in my mind and couldn’t wait to make him. He was for sale for a short time in my Etsy shop, until the wonderful lady that dreamed him up found out about him and didn’t waist any time in purchasing him.
