Beginner Felting Class

Intermediate Felting Class

• About two weeks before the start of class, you will receive a kit from me containing everything you will need to participate in the class.
• Just before the start of class, I will contact you with sign in instructions for their online forum. You will sign in and see the classroom and get a feel for how the forum works.
• Every two weeks, another lesson will be posted in your class forum. In addition to that, I will schedule 4 live chat sessions throughout the 8 week class period. You can ask questions and chat with other students. I may use Skype and video in my lessons.   I will be there in person to answer your questions throughout the class!In addition, there will be a blog/comment section for you to post generaal questions. I will be checking back periodically to answer any questions that crop up.

Beginner Felting Class

This class is designed for beginners- no previous felting or sewing experience is necessary.  Students will discuss different felting methods, sample many different types of wool and learn about the process the wool goes through from sheep to felted sculpture. You will be walked through the basics of felting and creating soft sculptures in wool, finishing class with a small of flock of  3 wool sheep. Your kits will contain everything that you need to complete the three sculptures, including wool straight from My sheep.

Included in the Beginner kit:

• 3 pairs of glass eyes
• Romney Wool
• Wensleydale wool
• Cotswold wool
• Merino wool
• Lincoln wool
• Pollworth wool
• Wire
• Felting cushion
• 2 Felting needles
• Needle and thread
• You will also need a  scissor with a sharp end and a wire cutter.

Intermediate Needle Felting Class

This class is designed for anyone that has had experience with needle felting.  If you have completed any of my kits, you are ready for this class.

In this class you will learn the techniques used to make the bunnies in the“Bunnies in Dresses” Collection.  You will learn how to sculpt with wool, add details and combine the techniques of wet felting and needle felting to complete your projects. Your kits will contain wool straight from my own flock at Bear Creek!

Intermediate Kit:

• Romney Wool
• Handpainted Merino wool
• Black and pink wool
• Felting Cushion
• 2 felting needles
• One pair of glass eyes
• Additional Supplies needed
• a pair of sharp pointed scissors
