Your donkey is wonderful! Also like your little people (elves, gnomes). I have been working on gnomes and woodland critters lately). How tall are your gnomes? Will send images of my work once I remember how to do it!

    Thanks,

I would love to make a goat or a camel. I am also wondering if anyone has plans to make a Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus. That would be really something! I wonder if any in our felting group has made people? I just finished a fox and a rabbit and am working on a white dove with olive branch for a Christmas tree ornament.

    Hello Mitten Matcher,

Thank you for your kind words! It is amazing to get such a thoughtful appraisal from Teresa, and we can surely benefit from each other’s projects and progress. It is hard work, I think, but very rewarding! I love the story of your pen name.

Hi Teresa, Thank you so much for your suggestions! They make so much sense, and I will try to incorporate. It is great that you are aware of the standard. I am aiming to sculpture Bernese Mountain Dogs, having had them as family dogs for years, but want to get it right so am grateful for the practice I am getting through your courses. I need to get faster, which I am sure will come. Am finishing the lamb now and will submit soon.

    Hello Kathleen,

Your dragon in progress is absolutely marvelous!! Love the eyes! What island do you live on? We will all want to move there for inspiration! Thanks for sharing,

<p style=”text-align: right;”>Hello Donna, Thanks for your post. It is nice to know that we are working on the same project! I am finishing up and have just printed pictures of cows. My husband has a Swiss heritage so my Mediterranean donkey will look like a Swiss cow!

<p style=”text-align: right;”>Thanks for the feedback, Teresa! I will send pictures once I incorporate your suggestions. I have learned a lot already and now when I look at all of my earlier creations, I can see that my skills are building. The donkey’s head was my biggest challenge. It was probably a little too long, but I didn’t want to start over so worked to compensate. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so stubborn! But, all in all, I am happy with my donkey, and it is exciting to see one’s work progress!

I am excited about creating the Nativity so will make the donkey next. I would also like to make a giraffe. My sister-in-law has requested that I make one for her. The first one I made is fairly good, BUT, I did not wire the legs so that is a problem. I actually think I can amputate and use wire now that I know how.

    Hello,

My name is Martha. I am a retired grandmother, who lives in Maine. I have been needle felting off and on for two years. I started with a kit, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. From there, I started making some felted animals for Sunday School classes. My husband and I travel in a small motorhome with our two Bernese Mountain dogs, and I needle felt while my husband drives. I have also made your pumpkins and snowmen, Theresa.
