Turning the page on 2020 will be a relief for many, yet moving into 2021 with so much uncertainty can also raise anxiety for some. There has never been a more important time to have a form of escapism….*in walks needle felting*. I’ve always loved crafts, homeschooling art class was the highlight of my week! Although I had never turned my hand to needle felting, yet along trotted 4 adorable lambs, and there I found myself, with a skill and passion I never knew existed in needle felting! I am living proof that unless you pick up the needle, you’ll never know if it’s for you.

We ship worldwide, so you can relax, put your feet up and even ask your other half to collect your package from the doorstep as you dive headfirst into whichever adorable character you choose to create!
2. Proven to help reduce stress and anxiety.
Even prescribed by docs, crafting has been known to aid our mental wellbeing. With the sometimes challenging beginner stretch of needle felting, it is the perfect project to keep your mind occupied and hands busy.
3. Make new friends.
The ladies of my needle felting group quickly became my support network, Q&A ‘go to’ group and some of my best friends. Our academy community has formed bonds like I never anticipated! Through 2020, their virtual friendships have grown stronger and stronger and we can’t wait to host them in person at the Nome Schoolhouse this spring!
4. Let’s escape together.
The arts in general are an amazing way to express ourselves and let us float away to our mental happy place. As we can’t get as much recently, Needle Felting is the perfect craft to enjoy as a family, over zoom with the grandchildren or simply curled up next to the fire, recalling cherished memories.
Instead of signing up for that gym membership that lets face it, aside from the card looking flashy in your purse, it doesn’t get swiped much! Why not join in the Academy fun and not only learn a new skill, but also make a whole bunch of new friends in the process!
