Crafters often find themselves with “itchy fingers,” a constant urge to craft, tinker, and create. This is probably the reason why so many creators can seamlessly jump from one craft to another! Because once you have a passion for craftsmanship, it spreads quickly.
My love for crafts started when my daughter told me she wanted to learn how to knit, and from there, as you can see, this passion for creativity has flourished into a beautiful community at the Bear Creek Felting Academy & a hub for all things crafts (down to the fiber) at the Nome Schoolhouse.
Crafting isn’t a hobby. It’s a lifestyle! I see the direct effects crafting has on my family. From the ability to think & be creative on the spot to looking at even the most abstract of materials and seeing how we can turn them into something beautiful, it has become a part of who we are.
So often, people think you have to be born with the creative “gene.” I disagree! I look at creativity like a muscle, and I think it’s something we all have—you just have to use it!
