This kit includes everything needed to complete this project except a needle and thread to sew in the eyes
Choose Your Kit Option
1. Complete Kit
Everything you need to start felting right away! Includes detailed instructions, felting needles, wool, and a 5″ x 5″ foam felting cushion. Perfect for beginners or as a gift.
2. Kit Without Cushion & Needles
Includes all the same materials and instructions as the Complete Kit, except for the cushion and needles. This option is great if you already have felting tools, or if you’re ordering multiple kits — you’ll only need one set of needles and a cushion to get started.
3. Eco-Friendly Kit
Includes everything from the Complete Kit, but replaces the foam cushion with a 6″ x 6″ 100% wool, biodegradable felting pad. A sustainable choice that’s longer lasting, nicer to felt on, and better for the planet.
No previous felting experience is necessary. This kit does not require any sewing, knitting or crocheting skills.
The finished Hippo will measure about 3 X 2 inches depending on how firmly it is felted.
This project will take you about 4 hours to complete if this is your first time felting.
The wool for this kit was raised in North Dakota on our farm.
