Happy New Year! It’s 2022, and after the past couple of years, we’re eager to make this one spectacular. It’s past time to release some new felting courses, and of course, we’re making wonderful use of the fully restored Nome Schoolhouse. And while we’re still in winter mode and finishing up our winter crafts, before we know it, lambing season will be here. There’s so much to do! Read on to learn all the exciting details.
First, I’m thrilled to announce some new kits and courses. While many of our creations in the Needle Felting Academy are farm animals or woodland creatures, I’m always looking to diversify. This year, we’re offering some new whimsical kits, including a blue whale, bison, and more to come! It’s still snowy here as well, so I can’t help but continue adding to my felted snow-family. I’d love to see what you’re working on. You can tag me on Instagram at @prairieshepherd.
Also, I’m teaching students how to make felted pouches — perfect for storing jewelry, personal care supplies, or keepsakes. I currently have kits for both gnome– and sheep-themed pouches. They’re soft, adorable, and versatile enough to go anywhere!
Second, I’m actively inviting new members to the Needle Felting Academy. If your New Year’s resolutions included goals to be more mindful or creative, needle felting is the perfect solution! I’d love to welcome you to our courses, where you can discover the many joys of the fiber arts. Grab your basic materials here, then join us to start felting your own delightful creatures and shapes!
The New Year is a time for rejuvenation and inspiration. For me, that always means a little extra time crafting and engaging in self-care. I hope you’ll join me in discovering the restorative potential of the fiber arts!
