Let Your Felting Talent Blossom This Spring!I can hardly believe spring is just around the corner! For me, spring is a time of growth and renewal. Here at Bear Creek, it’s when we welcome new lambs to our flock. And while we may put away our wool socks and sweaters, we keep our felting wool close at hand! As the flowers bloom outside, it’s hard not to feel inspired to create new things! There’s nothing like needle felting to relax as the scent of new blossoms wafts in through the window.

While I adore winter creatures such as polar bears, deer, moose, and penguins, spring is also when so many creatures come out of hiding and start frolicking. The birds are singing, the bears are waking up, the chickens are nesting, and of course, our ewes are giving birth to adorable lambs. Indeed, springtime is traditionally associated with animals such as sheep, ducklings, and rabbits. That’s why we have the Easter Bunny!

I’m feeling a sense of rejuvenation this spring as we pack up the winter crafts and start our 2022 projects. In addition to felting some new critters, I’ll also be knitting some spring styles for my favorite felted pals. Who needs Fashion Week when you can dress up your miniature duckling and dragon friends?

If you’re inspired to create some floral-hued accessories for your creatures, check out my spring wool sampler. It has the perfect set of colors for flower hats, Easter outfits, or whatever you can dream up.

Feeling motivated to refine your felting skills this spring? It’s the ideal season to grow your talents! If you’re already a seasoned felter, I invite you to check out our fiber sampler kit and start experimenting with other types of wool. Join my Needle Felting Academy and gain access to all sorts of courses featuring my favorite springtime creatures, including chickens, pigs, bunnies, and more!

I look forward to seeing how your felting talents blossom this season. Please keep me in the loop! Join the Academy, tag me on Instagram at @prairieshepherd, or both!
