As the weather cools down, it can be tempting to turn on the TV or succumb to the endless scroll of social media. With summer behind us, it’s important to take intentional steps towards keeping our minds fresh and our hands active!
Whether you’re new to needle felting or have been doing the craft for years, turning your love for needle felting into a healthy habit can be a challenge. Take these tips for forming a needle felting habit that will last!
Commit to needle felting on a daily basis.
Habit experts say it takes around 66 days to develop a habit. While it can be more or less for every person, around this two-month mark of daily practice, you’ll start to feel a natural draw towards needle felting. To achieve this, you’ll want to find a slot in your calendar to set aside a bit of time each day to needle felt — it could be 10 minutes to an hour! As long as you’re daily practicing, you’ll be good to go!
Spice it up every now and then!
Just because something is a habit doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fun! If you’re needle felting on a daily basis, it can be easy to grow tired of the same old routine. To keep things fresh, switch it up in one way or another! If you’re looking for a creative refresh for your next project, pick out some fresh colors of wool to inspire your next project.
Maybe you simply need to invest in some new materials to keep things fresh! Switch it up with some of our amazing tools and other needle felting supplies.
