We all have a spark of creativity within us. Some people love to paint or write poetry, others sing or dance. As for me, I cherish the fiber arts. Needle felting in particular has been a wonderful creative outlet. When I was younger, I never imagined that I would turn balls of wool into miniature animals and characters!
I fell in love with this art form, and after years of refining my craft, I launched the Needle Felting Academy to share the magic with others. If you’re reading this, you’re likely interested in growing your skills in the fiber arts! Welcome to the community.
The Needle Felting Academy has introduced me to so many talented creators around the world. I found that I truly enjoy teaching this craft. Plus, I get to play along! Running the Academy also challenges me to try new things. There’s always room to grow in the fiber arts!

Here’s what the Academy involves:
- Courses on how to needle-felted various animals, mythological creatures, and characters
- Technique tips, such as how to wash and dye your wool, correct mistakes, etc.
- Skill development courses, e.g. layering colors, advanced needle techniques, shortcuts for faster results
- Access to forums where you can ask questions and get advice
- Discounts on kits and supplies in the Bear Creek Felting shop (Even for kits that don’t have an accompanying course!)
All the courses are pre-recorded videos that you can watch at your convenience. But don’t worry, you can often get quick answers and feedback in our forums. It’s been thrilling to see our very active community come together to support each other! I log in every day as well, as I love seeing everyone’s progress and helping them bring their visions to life.
