It is no secret. I love creating felted animals. I love the entire experience from watching countless documentaries and videos of the animals going about their daily lives in their natural habitats to the trial-and-error process of bringing each noble beast to life using nothing more than a few tried-and-true needle-felting tools, and our very own Bear Creek Romney Wool.
I have spent time immersed in the African Savannah, the lush forests, and even the local barnyards, but there is one environment and its animals that hold a special place in my heart. There is no place quite like the great American Range, and no animal quite as majestic as the American Bison.
Here at the Nome Schoolhouse, we have hosted so many classes and events celebrating the dignity and beauty of animals from all around the world. This fun needle felting academy course has something for crafters of all skill levels. Beginners will find the class challenges them to build a fun new skill set, while experienced needle felters will learn new techniques and perfect their skills.
